Is there such thing as having too much fun with your photography?
Probably.
I'm not there yet. I'm not over the line... not in any sense. But I am having more fun shooting now than I had been. I think taking chances and working in unfamiliar situations has done me a lot of good this spring. Now that it's summer officially, I'm only going to accelerate.
I guess it feels like fun because although I'm professional, I make an effort to display my good humor as well.
Good shoot at a park last night with a new model. Bright green eyes she had, and a great sense of humor. In Iowa City last weekend, I shot with Samantha, who you may recall I had a publication with over the winter. First time we'd worked together in 2 years, and it was a blast, as she said. She and her fiance are an interesting and amusing couple.
Talked to a gal I shot with a few years back about shooting her wedding on 12/1. A seven-hour shoot. I'm going to meet with her in a month or so and discuss further... If she's not all "bridezilla" then we're probably on.
Other photo opportunities abound. Flickr groups in the area have something a couple times a month at least, and they're worth hanging out with even though I feel like a johnny-come-lately with their group dynamic. I'm meeting photographers in unexpected places... Also, I'll be going to Sioux City on the 7th for a shoot-out.
And then, maybe a break. Weekday evening shoots only for a few weeks, as I'll be in Tulsa on the weekend of the 14th for a Weird Al show, trip orchestrated to meet up again with Becca, my friend from Louisiana. Should be fun fun fun!
I'll sleep when I'm dead!

Must be doing good work to have so much fun. It's a good sign.
I can't imagine traveling downtown to see Weird Al, muc less to Tulsa. More power to ya!
Sleep is for tortoises. Or so somebody said on Doctor Who one time.
